Equality, Love, Pride, Pug

We will get back to the continuing adventures of Lola Pug and Nelly next Sunday, but today, let’s take a moment to celebrate love and equality, Lola Pug style…

Β

To our neighbours to the south – FINALLY! And congratulations.

Β

Up in Canada, we’ve been celebrating equal rights for marriage since 2005, but this announcement in the US makes us very happy, both for our friends who can now celebrate equality in their home country, and for those to whom basic human rights have long been withheld. (see article 16: http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/)

More work is needed for so many more people, but what a long-overdue step forward.

So we tip our hats as we celebrate Pride Week up in Lola’s (now rainy) hometown…

Β

…and, more importantly, we get that treat out of our pocket to give to Lola for enduring the crazy hats and photo posing that she had to endure.

Love all around!

  2. I am not normally one to overreact to dogs in hats. But this is a pug rocking a glam rainbow hat. I squee’d! Thank you for sharing it! πŸ™‚

  3. Well done Lola. Pity you live so far away since I am sure you would like to meet our old black pug . His name is Gizmo!
