Despite being highly adverse to getting her feet wet, The Pug loves to adventure on the wet flats of beaches.
…I know…she doesn’t make sense to me all the time, either….
Lola used to walk along the tide line positioned really low and wide – not unlike a hovercraft – but she has since developed a more composed demeanor, and has limited her smooshy ground stance to what we call “pontoon feet”:

No special shoes or equipment necessary.
But what else would you expect from a creature who so naturally adapts to life in the wild?
